IR remote control generates spurious keys
#1
Hi

My issue is not directly related to Kodi but to IR remotes on Linux in general, but I noticed there are guys with deep knowledge in IR configuration on this forum so maybe you could help me.

I use Kodi with Sony universal remote. I tested and configured the keys using ir-keytable without touching anything else related to lirc and it worked perfectly on OpenELEC. I was only running ir-keytable -p all -w my-remote-keys and it worked.

Then I moved to Ubuntu and repeated the same procedure but here I started to (randomly) get multiple key events for each button press and I can't find a work around for it.

I found there is a lircrc file where one can configure repeated key suppression but I cannot get it working. Are there other ways to do it?

advancedsettings.xml:
Code:
<advancedsettings>
    <remotedelay>4</remotedelay>
</advancedsettings>
Try if this works (i've still XBMC Eden).
