Selling of altered versions of Kodi
#1
While visting a local fair (BIG E in Springfield ,Mass) I observerd booths selling altered versions of Kodi. Many people were stopping at these booths. I explained to many that Kodi was free
but they do take donations. Needless to say I got the STINK EYE from the salesman at these booths.I believe Kodi is an open source program. Are these altered copies with there own name( I think one was labled D- Stream) on them LEGAL? These were clearly rip offs of Kodi! If the developers of Kodi wanted to sell there product they would have.[/i][/b]

It's actually better if they don't mention Kodi at all. They're normally pre-loaded with tons of pirate/bootleg content or services that we don't want to be associated with. There are GPL concerns, but they sure as heck aren't making improvements to the code, so no one wants their modifications. The only thing we are concerned with is that they don't tarnish the Kodi name.
