I am having trouble streaming movies from my NAS using Kodi with DLNA to a Samsung TV. I used to use Universal Media Server, and the same movies would play fine. But now, I get an error on the TV screen saying the format isn't supported.
Is there some setting in Kodi that I need to adjust?
Thanks
Eric

No, this is a problem with your tv.

Thanks for the info. What exactly is wrong with my TV? The thing wasn't cheap.
The same movies streamed okay with UMS, so I'm thinking that there must be a way to solve this. Ideas?
Thanks

UMS was probably transcoding your media files to a format your TV would accept on the fly. Kodi doesn't have that capability (yet).

Exactly as it says, the format isn't supported. Solution: Keep using UMS.
