I'm not sure if this has been covered before but I have Kodi on my phone, which I use to watch live TV. I also have a TV with an Amazon Firestick attached. I want to transmit a live HD steam from my phone onto the TV via the Fire stick without using my hotspot data allowance. I've tried the built in screen mirroring option but it's not up to the job of HD. I also had Localcast working at home where I had WiFi (internet via router>phone>router>fire stick) but can't get this working at the location I wish to where there's no router so I can't go (internet via 4G>phone>firestick). I know the firestick has WiFi direct as I can transfer files with ES file manager but when I try Localcast, my phone will not detect the firestick as it does at home? Any ideas?
