How to really use nfo files
#1
I have some DTS files, encapsulated into WAV files.
I am trying to supply the information so they can be added to Kodi's Music Library and I don't have to play them from 'Files'
But so far I haven't succeed in making Kodi read the Album.nfo file I made.
The directory looks like this:

Directory of Z:\DTS Music\Al Stewart - Year Of Cat (DTS-CD)

08/07/2014 01:39 <DIR> .

The Album.nfo file has only this one line:

http://musicbrainz.org/ws/2/release/3698...recordings

(The actual link if you want to follow: http://musicbrainz.org/ws/2/release/3698...recordings)
From the 'Files' screen under Music I try 'Scan this item to library' but it never shows up in the library afterwards.

Is this the way to use Album.nfo files?
What should I do to succesfully incorporate these files into the library DB?

I have been trying to do this since XBMC Frodo without success.

The link in my Album.nfo is from Musicbrainz, this details page

If this is not the link for Kodi, where in musicbrainz should I link to ?

Fail$tyle420, for your 3 Door Down Album, musicbrainz has this XML for "Away from the Sun", from this details page.

The files you posted are in the format specified by Kodi in the Wiki, if you write your own NFO files.

I am being lazy and don't want to do the work, because I have many DTS formatted Albums. According to Kodi Wiki there is another way: to provide a link to the Album page in the Album.nfo file.

But it seems to be the link I use from Musicbrainz is not the correct one (I tried also the link to the album page itself with no success)

If someone has succeeded using the link option in Album.nfo, please post one example or some words of explanation.

What does your debug log show when you attempt to scan/scrape the album?

As mentioned, I did not see the album and its tracks added to the library afterwards.
