I dont want to argue, Im stating my opinion and being the Devils advocate somewhat and for some reason thats a problem for you.. but to put it simply this is just talk and nothing will come of it, speaking from many years of experience with XBMC/Kodi and these great features and ideas that never really seem to get anywhere except get up someones nose and end up in futile arguments.

The examples I posted earlier of the porgress still ended up nowhere real, its just gif support was improved but nothing else much going on. So it goes to prove my point, nothing will come of this since none is actually doing any work except talk.

Only reason I mention posters is becase thats what mostly was discussed in other threads about this type stuff.

Well, all that and I never really got to say I dont disagree with your view anyway gif is dead but that doesnt change the facts above no matter how wrong you think I am or even if I am wrong.

I don't want to ruin your mood, but It's not being devil's advocate to remind us about "great features" that never make into mainline. That's not going to help anyone. All features begin as "talk", and for a lot of various reasons; not every "talk" is going to evolve into an actual feature. The great thing about Kodi is that you're free to write the code yourself and make a PR (which I understand is easier said than done).
