v15 kodi not reading settings
#1
Hi,

I started my kodi this morning only to discover that it would segfault immediately. To determine whether it was an issue with an addon i moved my .kodi folder to .kodiBU. After that it started correctly. I then moved .kodiBU back to .kodi.
The problem is now, that I am on a default (empty installation). Why is kodi ignoring my settings and what can I do?
The userdata folder is not empty so I didn't delete it by mistake or anything.

Ubuntu 14.04.1
Kodi (15.1 Git:d496682).

Here is my debug log.

Thanks for any help!

did you move them back while kodi was running?
since kodi was started with default settings, it will write those settings back to file on exit.

I am not really sure, maybe. I guess that would mean that all is lost?
/edit: anything I can do?

If you did what ronie thought, I think nothing can done. The Kodi folder might be overwritten with the running installation (the clean one) and the 'old' one is gone now, unfortunately.

So for the note a 'cp' might be better than a 'mv' for the future...no offense
