Hi,

Weird issue -
Some videos (not sure which, don't think it's the encoding) only play audio (screen goes black).
If I press the back or ESC button, so the menu strip appears in the middle of the screen, the video suddenly returns (!), only to go black again when I remove the menu.
Other videos work just fine.

I searched around the forum, and although I didn't find anyone mentioning this exact behavior, I did find people complaining about black screen during playback.
The most common solution was to disable video acceleration.

I tried doing that, but it didn't help.

Any ideas what's going on here?

disabling hardware acceleration is never a good idea.we always want to offload as much work as possible to the GPU.
it sounds like a dodgy graphics driver. we have seen a lot of similar problems lately but they were all connected to a broken amd catalyst driver, and from a quick search you probaly have an intel integradet graphichs chip.

it would be nice with a debug log and some more informing specs.
