Roku 4

no Roku because there is no native API/SDK. Simple as that. Kodi run native, with about 20+ native libs. There must be some API/SDK to support native apps or no go.

Read something today about roku having some sort of beta SDK out not sure what it was about. Emby from my understanding is an open source project and are on roku and that was where I read about the beta SDK. Not sure if any of that is relevant or not.

Please re-read what MrMC wrote in the post before yours, Kodi and its libraires are written in C++ and C which requries to run native.

Ruku's SDK does not support native C/C++ applications, it only support applications written in BrightScript scripting language.

You can compare this with Google which have the Android SDK which is for JavaScript apps and the Android NDK which is for C/C++ apps.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_so...ndroid_NDK

SDK and NDK are not the same, and Kodi would not run on Android without Google having the Android NDK which supports C/C++ apps.

Now go to Roku and complain to them for not having an NDK which supports native C/C++ apps (or C/C++ games) like example Kodi.
