v15 AlArab Addon

Hello all:
I'm new to the KODI world so be kind to me please Wink

AlArab addon version 2.0.4 was working fine for the past 3 month and suddenly when I try to play any content I get addon error and prompted to check the log file. I can launch the addon, click on a series, and see the list of episodes, the error is generated only at the last step of actually playing an episode. I check the log file and googled the error but couldn't find any helpful info.



Is this happening for everyone or just on my setup. I did try it on a macbook and FireTV and got same results.

I don't know how to attach the log file, here is part of it:

Yes same everywhere. We are hoping for a new upgrade.
Someone told me have to contact the author of it but don't know who.
Hope to get a fix soon. cause it is of one the best arab addon.
Even sonara is down. Shahid was down but the amazing shani fix it.

I found a fix. Do you run kodi on pc?

If so navigate to to your addon folder on the filesystem (not in kodi), go to plugin.video.alarab an rename default.py to default_ORIG.py.

Open default.py. Search for source3. Replace the argument in the split brackets with following string: "file: '"

Alternatively replace the whole line with:

source3 = content2.split("file: '")

But pay attention that this line should align with the other lines.

Guys -I have made Norman's file into a ZIP file. You can install file from zip under KODI -> settings -> install from zip

Download the file from AlArab
