I'm curious to know more about scope and status of the Google Chromium based web browser addon Alwin Esch is working on for Kodi:

http://esmasol.de/open-source/kodi-add-o...b-browser/
https://github.com/AlwinEsch/web.browser.chromium
https://github.com/AlwinEsch/web.browser...master/src

Not sure if it is too late to ask now, and not sure if this was discussed on its own or just as a small part of binary addons?

We didn't have any mention of that, but there was a good presentation on the Audio DSP system that has been worked on and merged recently.

It looked really good.

I didn't leave the team but ATM I'm very busy with my real-life/daily job.
Don't worry in my opinion the PVR section runs really well and most of the new stuff is nice-to-have Smile

Hi RockerC, was not on the best condition before and a bit of needed hardware is missing on my new apartment at new home Rolleyes for creation of presentation.

But can say it becomes continued. My last steps was to improve the build of needed binary chromium libraries. This becomes independent from add-on due to the very very very big code of 13 GByte where need git a bit longer to unpack and after build has taken 21 GByte on HD.

This I store currently for development here https://bitbucket.org/kodi-web/cef/downloads (On end becomes also Kodi's own store used for this). The libraries on them are only usable for Kodi's add-on to match his file system structure,

New is https://github.com/kodi-web/cef-binary-packages to link for add-on build to the right needed library.

The last days I worked on binary add-on system in kodi to optimize code for them (https://github.com/AlwinEsch/kodi/commit...3d6d9499df) , which also related to web parts.

Has used Chromium due to the very good CEF system, which make it much easier to use.

There is still a lot to do, but it comes.

On my parts about binary web add-on system I want to have:
- Web browser (Primary)
- A good email add-on
- IRC chat

And if from licences and code possible (but wonderful idea not sure if it works):
- Viber
- Skype
- WhatsUp
