Hello all,
I have been using the XBMC Mediaportal TV client without any problems for about 18 months, My XBMC is running on a Chromebox. Until 2 weeks ago, it was accessing a Mediaportal TV service running under Windows 7 (both machines on my LAN). Now, 2 weeks ago I bought a new desktop which runs Windows 8. I reinstalled Mediaportal on that new machine and now everything is running fine, except that _once in while_ when I try to change channels on XBMC Mediaportal TV client, the client will freeze for about 40 seconds. Note that the same will happen when I use an XBMC client on the same Windows 8 machine, but not when I use the Mediaportal client on that Windows machine
As I am far from expert in reading XBMC and MP logs, I am hoping that someone here can help me identify the problem on the following XBMC and TV server logs:

On the XBMC log, the relevant channel gets opened on line 577. Then around line 620 an attempt is made to close it and we then observe the long delay between lines 621-622.
On the TV service log, we see that the relevant channel is started around 09:48:30,974; then the attempt to stop it around 09:48:47,531 and the long delay appears after 09:48:47,649]
