Interfaces Empty - configure multiple connections?
#1
So there is a server (Windows) setup and my father-in-law has his Pi (running Kodi of course) connected together via ethernet all setup and running no problem. He configured it in the Kodi interface so he could access his movies on his server. All of this works and can see and watch his movies - ALL GOOD!

Here is the catch though; he wants to also run his USB Wi-Fi dongle (which he bought with his CanaKit) so that his Pi can connect to the internet to download all his tv and movie data (pictures, covers, movie info, etc.) when he adds movies to his windows server and updates the library on the Pi. Is that possibleHuh?

I noticed that the Kodi interface only has 1 option select-able at a time (wired or wireless) so I was going to configure his network in /etc/network/interfaces as many have suggested however his file is 100% empty?

Can I configure that to work and if so how would I do that? (Kodi was compiled on Feb 2 2015)

You obviously need to post more detail.
we don't know:
1. why he doesn't access the internet through his ethernet connection
2. what is the OS underlying Kodi
