I reinstalled my Openelec/Kodi 15 5.095 and cannot figure out how to get my WD External HD back
on my main home windows network so i can drop media onto it....

I played with the network settings, have IP/DNS setup properly and everything else works good
Plex Streaming etc...

if your drive is an USB drive, just hook it up at the windows PC and make a new share for this drive. Most likely...right click on the drive, properties, share and follow the instructions

After that you should be able to access it over the IP of your windows PC via SMB
