1920x1080 Screen Resolution Does Not Work
#1
Ever since I migrated my PC with Kodi to Windows 10, 1920x1080 screen resolution no longer works. I guess the video drivers aren't compatible with Windows 10. I haven't been able to figure out how to fix this as I don't see new drivers on the vendors website.

As a workaround, I have been using 1024x768 but it looks horrible on the TV as the video is in the middle of the screen but there is a lot of empty space on the top and on the bottom of the page.

Here's what I'm wondering - Is there another screen resolution that I could use to fill the entire screen on my TV, something I guess between 1024x768 and 1920x1080?

Thank you

Are you using the latest drivers from the AMD website?

I went to the AMD website today and there is a utility that I was able to download and run on my desktop. According to the utility, I do have the latest drivers.

Graphics Hardware AMD Radeon HD 7660D
Processor AMD A10 5700 APU with Radeon HD Graphics
Operating System Windows 10 64-bit

Your system already has the latest driver installed.

The issue I have with Kodi not accepting 1920x1080 resolution started just after I upgraded to Windows 10. Are there any logs that I can share with the community that would help in resolving this issue. It's been kind of disappointing not having access to the correct resolution for some time now.

Thank you

That auto utilility blows.

Goto support, and manually find your driver.

Download it.

Click on the optional tab and get your chipset drivers while at it

Remove completely your current catalyst drivers.

Install all you downloaded.

Then Use the catalyst software to enable 1080 (which you shouldn't have to)
I really have no idea what I am talking about. Proceed with caution. I confuse easily. And drink. A lot.
