Integrating Freesat (from Sky) into Kodi advice and help.

Until recently I’ve only been using Kodi for my ever expanding Movie/TV collection. I have now decided it’s time to clean up my setup and I would really like to ditch my Sky box (I’m in the UK). Basically, I’m after a bit of advice from anyone that has a similar set up. I’m not completely sure what I’ll need.

I have a HP 260 G1 as my HTPC so I know that I will have to go with an external tuner. There seems to be a lot of freeview usb tuners around but not a lot of freesat ones. I’m guessing I need a DVB-S2 tuner such as:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hauppauge-Nova-U...B00A0GU7M0
http://www.amazon.co.uk/TeVii-USB-S660-H...B002NESZO4

Would any of those be suitable for replacing the sky box or is there a better option maybe?

Also, what would be the best or simplest windows based PVR back end to use?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m a little bit apprehensive about buying anything that might not work.

I use mediaportal tv server - there is a version of this (see their forums) including 'custom data grabber' - this will pull in the EPG and channel groupings for your postcode area and allow season pass recording. It just works. There are loads of other PVR options that will work but will need more time and effort to get the channels grouped as you want, add EPG and to be maintained if channels change frequencies etc.
