Interesting, I'm still trying to figure out what's causing this. I'm running Kodi 17 on Ubuntu, Win 10, Mac OS, and FireTV and have not run into this error, which makes troubleshooting near impossible when I can't re-create the error.

it is not an addon problem, i think the problem is with kodi 17....i get no live playing games with kodi 17 then i back to kodi 16.1 and now it is all ok.....

i can report that it has been working okay with me using Kodi 17 on windows 10 but i do agree kodi 17 hasn't been the more bug free release...

update: its not working today... yesterday watched the habs game in french without issue. Can get the chicago/minne game going right now.

I had the exact same problem that i couldn't watch live/full games. logfile shows the same errors.

after removing python 2.7 AND Kodi 17.0 via apt-get, i made a fresh install of Kodi 16.1 and python 2.7. from now on live games worked again.

Kodi Krypton on Win 7 and OSMC (Pi3) both played the Lightning game last night for me. No issues. Even at highest resolution available.

I just picked up the half season package last week for $50 and loving this by the way. Thanks a ton.

I'm all out of options... I just reformatted my whole PC and I'm still getting the exact same issues. I really hope you can figure this out and let me know if I can provide more logs or anything to help. If not well, it was good while it lasted.

I may have an answer for ya. Go to the NHL.TV addon configuration menu. Find the CDN option in the Login tab. Choose between 3 options. Akamai option works for most, Level 3 option usually causes "slowmo buffering" issues for most. But if your settings weren't already selected for no preference start with that. This was an older issue for most of us. For a while I thought the issue was revolved as I chose no preference. last two days I had the "slowmo" again and switched back to Akamai again. Resolved again so I plan to stick with that optoin for a while. Good luck! Let us know...

I'm not having any login issues, and I can access all the games; however, the buffering is very annoying. It shows up at 5000kps (constant) and 3500kps (about every 10s). At 2500, it seems fairly stable. This is even with switching CDN options.

My ISP is Verizon FIOS and speed tests come back at 50/50.

I've tried to do some searching, but this is all new to me. I'm wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction?

What version of kodi are you using? I guess first off we need to know if we're talking network issue or playback issue.

If there is a popup on the kodi display that fills up 0-100 then it is a network issue. Try giving your fire tv the best possible connection. Start by hardwiring it directly to your router or modem and see if there is an improvement you can make inside your local network.

If the screen is just freezing, jittering, etc. then you could try changing the options under hardware acceleration (Settings > Player Settings > Videos > Processing > Hardware acceleration). Here's a post about my fire tv settings. I'm not sure if this is an issue anymore in Kodi 17. I haven't changed any settings on my fire tvs in a long time.

I just checked and I'm actually running version SPMC 16.5-5.

The buffering issue is one that introduces a pop-up window and counts up from 0-100%. Since you indicated that this is evidence of a network issue, I tried two things.

1. I added Ares Wizard and adjusted the RAM buffer.

2. I reset my Verizon FiOS router.

Resetting the router seemed to do the trick. I am running 5000mps with no evidence of any more issues! (except that annoying fast forward freeze at fast rates.)
