My current setup (15.2 RC3) has the EPG displaying thumbnails for guide items and they are always switching between one picture and another. I'm assuming this is the Kodi web scrape and what is received from serverwmc. What's the best way to keep one set in terms of system performance - keep Kodi or serverwmc's (and where would I disable Kodi's if that's recommended)?
Also, the family used to love the way WMC's recorded TV had thumbnails of the actual video recording. Can Kodi be setup (modifying setting, skin helper, etc.) to show these instead of pulling cover art from the web?

Kodi should show a thumbnail for the actual recording. What it doesn't do yet (as far as your version is concerned) is show thumbnails for the folder.
As far as I know there is no way to do this. I miss this feature terribly as well. I think they might be working on integrating this into Jarvis but I am not sure

I don't get actual recording thumbnails, mine are web downloaded covert art (of ugly random sizes).

Kodi doesn't do any web scraping in the pvr screens so the images you're seeing must be the linked images in the guide data from WMC

I think if you tell serverwmc to not import the guide thumbnails from the wmc epg (see Display Options), kodi will generate screen capture thumbnails for the recorded programs.

Tried disabling this but it doesn't seem to work. Instead of generating screen captures all my recorded items just show the default Kodi Sofa&TV image. Maybe there's something else I need to enable in Kodi to allow for video scraping?

No one else having this issue?
I can use the Skin Helper Service to download artwork but I want actual thumbnails from the wtv files. If I disable serverwmc from imports thumbnails and disable the web scraping in Kodi, Kodi still won't generate video thumbnails.
