Addon that allows adding my own stream source?

Since I'm running in a Raspberry Pi2 without any PVR support, I'd like to be able to add my local TV station's live stream feed. Specifically, they have a local weather radar stream that'd be great to have access to as a sub-menu on the Weather main menu. Other examples I'd like to add would be online live stream feeds for my local Radio stations (that don't exist in any of the other radio addon's I've tried). There is an AM band station that plays Coast2Coast every night, but I can't find it anywhere else that's live. I'm just curious if somebody has created a simple addon that allows you to type out the URL of a stream, give it a name, and then have it saved as either a Video Source or a Favorite. Is there maybe something already built into the main Kodi interface that I just haven't found yet?

I would think you can just create a strm http://kodi.wiki/view/Internet_video_and...ile_method:

That sounds like the perfect solution. Now I'm having trouble locating the URL. Obviously I need the exact file name for the stream itself, but everything is all embedded in HTML and Javascript that I don't understand. I actually have access to a whole bunch of TV stations through my Cable TV provider's website (Time Warner Cable). I've tried to figure out where the streams are located, but I've come up empty. I even tried a program called URL Snooper (link) that basically watches all of the incoming internet traffic and tries to provide you with the stream location, but it doesn't work either. In fact, while watching a stream, URL Snooper is constantly being updated with new streams with seemingly random locations. Is anybody familiar with locating streams that can help me?

The biggest stream I'm looking to add for the moment is my Local Radar.

But if somebody is really good, perhaps you can help me locate all the Cable TV streams I have access to? (requires a login)

The streams are most likely encrypted.

If you have a valid TWC account, get yourself an HD Homerun to access all your cable channels through Kodi. Works great, has an EPG and will save you the trouble of realizing that you will have a hell of a problem getting the streams to play the way you're going about it. They are encrypted and messing around can cause your digital set-top to lock until a service guy comes out to lecture you.
