How to log into tvheadend
#1
Hi,

I've been trying to get kodibuntu 14.0 set up to play live tv. I was looking at installing tvheadend but then realized it was already installed I can't figure out how to log into it though. I get prompted for credentials when I visit http://localhost:9981, but it won't take any credentials I enter.

It should be the username/password you created when you installed it... if it's already installed, I can only assume you did it in a drunken haze late one night and have long-since forgotten what you entered.

sudo dpkg-reconfigure tvheadend from a command prompt will allow you to create a new master user and password - once you're in with that, you can then set up other users/access control rules as and if you wish to.

Thanks, I'll try that. I already installed kodibuntu 14 to a fresh thumb drive and verified tvheadend is preinstalled.

Then this thread suggests it should default to kodi/kodi, although dpkg-reconfigure should still allow you to change it.
