But I cant find any posts about this specific question.

I am running serverwmc on a windows backend w/ an InfiniTV6.

Streaming my cable TV to emby on my phone, and Kodi on Linux frontends throughout my house.

We all know the deal with DRM.
It exists to combat piracy, but only serves to harm legitimate use. (Pirates always find a way)

More and more of my channels seem to be getting whacked by the DRM stick, rendering those channels worthless for me.
(Unless I wanna stand next to my washer and dryer to watch on my server)

I am running Linux based Kodi frontends for obvious stability.

So my question is...

Will DRM channels only work in WMC?
Or will they work in Kodi with serverwmc as long as Kodi is running on a Windows based frontend?

Or are there any other known workarounds?

Obviously it would be ideal if ServerWMC and/or Kodi just worked with DRM. (Or if someone took DRM out to the pasture and shot it)

But there's gotta be a way to watch DRM in Kodi.

WMC is great cablebox. But I think the name "Media Center" Describes EVERY other htpc platform better than it does WMC.

I'll probably cancel my cable services before I switch to WMC, or cableboxes.
