I'm suspecting this to be a configuration-related issue, as I don't have the same issue with Kodi v15.2 on my Windows 7 laptop.

Audio Settings are the out-of-the-box default.
Nvidia Shield TV is connected to Netgear R7000 (dd-wrt 27858) via Gigabit Ethernet LAN connection.

Any ideas?

It looks like the issue is actually on USTVnow's side.

The streams via http://www.ustvnow.com/ seem to be solid, yet using a USTVnow App that uses these URLs seem to be studdering/buffering:

...contacted USTVnow support, will circle-back if they provide any useful info.
