using Kodi 15.2 Confluence
while Kodi is playing
it would be very practical if i could see the synopsis of a movie
by clicking on the thumbnail on the left

program a remote button to be your <info> key.

I don't know what thumbnail you are referring to. I have no thumbnails when I am playing back movies.

I have no clues about using a mouse with kodi but I know the osd screen you refer to. Easiest thing for you is to press I on your keyboard. Or map a remote key as per the wiki page you pointed to.
