I wish to choose the position of the subtitles on my screen. I like to have them in the black border on the bottom. But if the video has been cropped, this is impossible (the subtitles can go on the very bottom of the video, but cannot go in the black border.

I know some players can do that (bomi, for example).

So I 'd like to know if this will be possible one day on Kodi.

So have you actually set up kodi to display the subtitles in the black borders and it's just one specific case of video formats where this isn't working?

I choose to place the subtitles "under the video" in the kodi options.

But:
It's not working for every type of cropped videos.
And it's perfectly working for non-cropped videos.
