I am a total noob when it comes to coding. As far as I understand the widget tutorial a sidebar gadget is "basically only" DHTML and HTML ?!

I use xbmc on my work machine just for listening to music cause it's folder structure is much better than any winblows media player. I run in windowed mode and keep it in the background, I would love to be able to minimize it and still be able to have a taskbar control.

Having a little window pop up when clicked that would allow shuttle control as well a scrollable listing of folders/albums/artists so I could change them without having to maximize it would rock my socks off.
