OSMC analogue audio noise

Hello,
I got latest osmc on my Raspberry Pi2. Unfortunately I got much noise on my analogue audio output. On HDMI is everythig ok.

It's the fault of the RPi2 hardware, not OSMC. The only way to greatly reduce the noise from the analog out is to use a USB sound card.

I have honestly never used the audio port on an RPI, but the first thing I would be looking at is the quality of your cabling.
HTPCs: 2 x Chromecast with Google TV
Audio: Pioneer VSX-819HK & S-HS 100 5.1 Speakers

The analogue audio quality isn't great, but it can be affected by other devices creating ground noise.
The power supply is most likely, but it can be usb/ethernet/hdmi.

Trying another power supply or disconnecting plugged in devices while audio is playing may identify if the noise comes from a specific component.

I've had this issue as well and nothing I tried had any significant impact on reducing analog noise, except for using a separate sound card (USB in my case). Here is a cheap one that worked well. It isn't perfect, but it does the trick.

hmmm I must try, maybe thats it.
Strange is that when RP2 inactive (you know tinted) then noise is much quieter.

Does adding disable_audio_dither=1 to config.txt make any difference?
