vps with vnsi Client/server setup
#1
Hello,
I'm using a client / server setup with a headless VDR + vnsi-server (i386) as backend and kodi + vnsi-client as front end.
Works fine so far Smile
I have set up the VDR-backend to use VPS when possible.
This works fine as long as I add the timer at the backend.
Now when adding a timer at the frontend (no matter how) VPS will never be activated.
Even more if I add a timer with VPS on the backend and afterwards go to the timer menu at the frontend, enter the timer and confirm with ok, VPS is deactivated.
Now I am wondering if its possible at all to add a timer at the client and still activate VPS.
If it's currently not supported, is it planned?
Thanks in advance

vdr 2.2.0...
vnsi-server 2.2.0...
vnsi client 1.10.10

I need to lok into the code to answer this. Currently I am traveling and won't have a chance to do so until next Tuesday

@FernetMenta
I have exactly the same problem. Timers programmed with Kodi don't consider VPS.
Could you already take a look into the code?

Kodi PVR currently does not support vps timer. I pinged the pvr devs and ask if/how they plan to implement it.

I think it is a bug in the vdr.vnsi add-on if VPS is deactivated after the timer got edited using Kodi front-end.

VPS support itself is imo also easiest implemented in the add-on - via providing special VPS timer types.
