ok soo in ios 9 (which tvOS is based off of) you no longer need to pay 99 bucks a year to build and compile and test apps on your iphones, ipads. and so on. well i saw this on youtube. someone built a web browser that works on the apple tv!!!!!

this got me thinking. Would it be able to do the same thing for KODI? can there be a branch made for kodi that we can compile our self on our mac's and just push to the apple tv. Im sure that being that the apple tv does not have a jailbreak yet, so not sure if there would be issues with getting parts of KODI media play back to work (like audio, or hardware accelerated video playback) but i thought it would be worth a shot and ask!!!
hopefully a maintainer or dev here can shed some light onto this and maybe get the word out and someone can help start a branch of KODI that can work on the apple tv 4th gen without a need of a jailbreak!!!
i Personally do not own a 4th gen apple tv. i have a amazon fire tv (1st gen) but i would like to get one for my bed room but i really want to be able to use KODI. hope this can be a starting point
