I am in the same position as the OP.

- The beebox is slightly cheaper and available more widely. It also has a fan Sad

- The CI323 has no fan, is a tad more expansive and harder to find (at least up north for us canucks).

Any feedback on which is "better"? Would I be more "future-proofed" with an I3-5005U or 5010U for 100$ or so more?

Thanks,

The ZBOX CI323 nano definitely has a cool design. So, basically any Braswell can't do 4K@60 nor HDR correct?

Haven't kept up since Chromebox w/OpenELEC, but curious as to if these are notably better?

It looks like zotac made the 323 but forgot to send it to sellers Smile When I was looking for a box to buy I couldn't find it over the whole internet. So I went with beebox from amazon. I was worried about fan too but the owners assured me that it's very silent. And it's true, during normal use you can't hear it. It spins high during machine startup and then becomes silent.

Depends - any of these come with DisplayPort (1.2) or HDMI 2.0? BeeBox don't.

Which is only half the requirement. Other one would actually be outputting it to a 4K TV. And since all 3 devices mentioned in this thread are HDMI 1.4b , well, you're stuck at 4K30Hz max.

Zotac CI323 comes with DisplayPort (version unknown). If it's DisplayPort 1.2, 4K@60Hz should be possible. I asked Zotac support about it. Haven't got a response yet.

Per Zotac the CI323 has DisplayPort 1.1a (3840x2160 @ 30Hz)
