I have Kodi 15.2 installed on two Macs:
1. Mac 27" Mid-2011, 3.4 GHz Core i7, Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6960M, running Mac OS X 10.11.1
2. Mac Mini mid-2010, 2.4 GHz Core2 Duo, Graphics Nvidia GeForce 320M, running Mac OS X 10.11.1
On both these Macs some Blu-Ray disks are unwatchable due to video tearing. For example, "Curse of the Golden Flower" and "Casino Royale". The Blu-Rays have been ripped with protection removed using AnyDVD HD.
Are there any Kodi settings that will solve this problem?
The hardware is capable of playing videos smoothly because:
a. Kodi running on the Mac Mini booted into Windows 7 plays the same Blu-Ray rips smoothly.
b. Kodi running on the iMac in a Windows 10 Parallels Virtual Machine plays the same Blu-Ray rips smoothly.
I am aware of the video tearing fix for the Mac Mini with Nvidia 320M but none of the drivers mentioned in the sticky thread are installable on the current Mac OS X. In any case, that the iMac cannot play the disk too makes me think it is a more general problem with Kodi on OS X.
Any help will be appreciated. I am trying my best to migrate from a Windows Media Center home theater PC environment o Kodi.
Thanks!
