Latest changes:
Fixed displayed digits if you do not use default font.
Separate variables for user friendly color change. The ability to change in the settings I am not yet ready.

How to change colors for rating stars:
If you want to change the color for the range of rating stars,
open file StarRatingAccColor.xml with PsPad (Notepad++),
visit a page: http://kodi.wencas.cz/SRAcolors.php
choose the color, copy and replace to the desired range of ratings.
For example:
Line 17 contain color:FFC0C0C0
<value condition="!IntegerGreaterThan(Container(510).ListItem.Rating,2.9)">FFC0C0C0</value>
Replace only this 8 characters (FFC0C0C0) per: FF00E673

1/ Unzip downloaded archive from the zip
2/ Copy the /skin.aeonmq6/ and /script.skin.helper.service-master/ folders into your folder /addons/
And overwrite original filles
3/ Restart Kodi
Enjoy it

I agree used with you, italic are not very nice. But I'm not a graphic designer. But if you want to do another ... you can.
However, I'm ready for the next version this stars set: new stars

i have downloaded and installed this in add ons, but I still have the original 5 stars showing - do I need to a activate it?

This is not addon. Install manually.
1/ Unzip downloaded archive from the zip

Where the addons folder:

I do not have W7, I can not test.
But I tried to W10 my son.
Correct installation path is: c:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\

However, I found the bug, instead of the default icons stars are italic. The new version will be as soon as possible, sorry.

Now that we have v3.3.0 of MQ6, will you be able to update your files, after replacing the files from your mod, the mq version in settings show its at v3.2.0
