Is there a keyboard short cut to bring the full screen when playing music, in other skins when I press 'ESC' button it cycles thru full screen and osd screen.

Which other skins are you referring to?
Keyboard shortcuts are not defined by the skin, but in the userdata/keymaps/keymap.xml file.
The "Tab" key switches between fullscreen music/video and back. In the home screen, hitting backspace also cycles between fullscreen music/video and back. Escape goes from fullscreen video/music and back to where you came from.

If that's not possible may you can create a setting entries that will allow force the system to open Music player in full screen mode.
