I recently purchased a Lenovo m53 to upgrade my media center from an old laptop. I set the computer up on a Sony Google TV connected via hdmi (techincally display adapter to HDMI). Install and config went fine. When I went to connect to my theatre TV (a Vizio M801) I get no video. I moved the lenovo to another TV in the house (a 55" vizio) and it worked fine.
I thought it may be a display driver, but I don't even get the bios at startup. Hooking up a VGA monitor to the machine works fine. Kodi boots, I can drop out of kodi into Lubuntu and look around.
xrandr shows the HDMI1 display isn't connected to xrandr --output HDMI1 --auto doesn't work
any assistance here?
- Lenovo works fine connected to any other TV via HDMI
- TV works fine with other media centers connected to it, same cables, etc.
