I left Kodi in window mode on my Windows box yesterday and turned off TV. Turned it on today and window is black. Went to full screen, no change, went back to window, no change. Closed window with X. and tried starting Kodi and it did not start. I had to reboot to get it running again

Looks like this is fixed in Kodi 17 Beta 6 for me!
