Unable to install on Macbook Pro OSX 10.6.8
#1
I've read the stickies, but my problem is I can't even install it.

I downloaded installer. I dragged Kodi into Apps from the dialog.

I hear the boing. I see it in Applications.

I click to run it and I get this message:

I think this is the relevant portion -

Dyld Error Message:

Reason: image not found

I've been doing a bit of research and this does not seem to be at all a simple fix.

It's like Apple neglected to install important library in their OSHuh

silvanet,

Just a thought... did you go to settings on your MAC, security & privacy, general tab, and changed the setting to allowed apps to be installed from anywhere?

Hope this helps

Current minimum osx version is 10.7 ... the last kodi version which supports 10.6.8 is kodi 14.1 iirc.

I kind of figured as much. Really hate Apple for their constant push to make you pay for ever more expensive models to be able to run software almost any other system can easily handle.
I'll try installing xbmc 14.1.

You know any Macbook Pro late 2007 or newer can run OS 10.11.1.
