I'm running 15.2 Git:02e7013 on Kubuntu 14.04.3

CPU=intel i7-3820
GPU=Nvidia geforce 650 Ti with proprietary nvidia driver 352.63

I installed kodi via apt-get install

The problem occurs with both H265 and 264 files.


When I play a video it seems to start OK except that the video freezes after about a second. The audio continues to play for maybe 1-2 seconds after the video freezes but then the audio cuts out as well. At this point Kodi will be completely unresponsive. Kodi.bin will start using 25% of my CPU according to the system monitor. At this point, I can't close Kodi, I have to kill it.

I purged and reinstalled (latest) Nvidia drivers and now it works. Latest Nvidia drivers for me were 358.16

I was going to say, since you claim on forst post to be running GPU=Nvidia geforce 650 Ti with proprietary nvidia driver 352.63 but the log says something else enterily
