Problem Statement: Not able to get the EPG listings from MediaPortal backend to show up in Kodi client.
Backend Server:
• Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, , i5-6600 CPU, 16GB Memory
• Two tuners installed
• MediaPortal TV-Server Version: 1.12.0.0
• TVServerKodi: 1.12.0.129
• EPG Tvguide.xml generated with mc2xml.exe in folder C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Server\SlimTVCore\v3.0\xmltv. This folder is shared on the network
• MedialPortal2 (Summer '15 Release) Client is installed on the server and is able to display the EPG.
Frontend Client:
• Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, -7-6700K CPU, 32GB Memory
• Kodi -15.2-lsengard
• System -> Settings -> Add-ons: MediaPortal PVR Client Add-on enabled and configured to point back to the server.
• System -> Settings -> TV -> Guide: Set to defaults (but have tried different settings) Using "Clear data" to reset guide after changing any settings.
• TV:
○ TV -> Channels: The channels are listed with no other information. Live TV works fine when a channel is selected.
○ TV -> Guide: Blank, No guide entries
○ TV -> Recordings: Shows the list of scheduled recordings. The recordings were setup on the MediaPortal2 client on the server system. It appears this data is coming from the server at \ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Server\TvDB\Matches.xml. Currently Recording and Next Recording listings are being displayed on the Home page.
• Kodi.log scenario: Start Kodi, Turn on debugger with default settings, Go to System -> Settings -> TV -> Guide and Clear Data. Then to Home -> TV -> Guide. Then Exit Kodi. Posted at: http://goo.gl/IBGNSY
Questions:
1. Why is the EPG not showing up in Kodi? It has to be simple since no one else is reporting this problem.
