New user, a bit of help required

Hi guys,

New here and newish to the world of Kodi. I'm not sure if I posted in the right forum here so please bear with me. Moderator feel free to move my thread if needed.

I'm after a couple of bits if advice, 1st one when I use the context menu to mark stuff as watched I can't see that ticks. This is across all my devices using this confluence skin on kodi 15.2 (latest stable Google play store release). I swear this used to work and its helpful to keep track of where I am with various things.

2nd, is there a way I can synchronise my favourites folder between multiple devices so I don't have to add and manage my library and be able to watch something on one device, mark it as watched and not have to do the same on all my other devices?

I'm using a nexus 6p phone, nexus 7 2013 tablet, nvidia sheild TV 500gb and a Ubuntu laptop. Being able to manage my library and have it synced between all these would be very helpful. I'm sure there's a way but the menus have so many options and some of it isn't exactly easy for a new user to know exactly what is meant to do what.

Many thanks in advance,
Steve

Also take a look at the Trak.tv Add-on.

That can sync watched status over multiple devices and doesnt need any library sharing or anything like that. You just need the Add-on on both Kodi installs.

Another nice option is Emby. Emby takes over de Kodi DB and can centralize everything for all you devices.
I don't have any experience with this yet, but i am surely going to investigate this sooner or later,
