Hi all, I'm new to Kodi so please bare with me:

So after installing Kodi on my PC, and it working well, to save me lugging my laptop around and fiddling with cables to watch things on my TV, I bought a android box to connect up to TV.

The issue I am having is that when I play anything there's like a dual sound stream, one is slightly delayed so it sounds odd. My Kodi box is connected via and HDMI which goes to my sound bar. I have the same setup for my WDTV live which I have no issues with.

If I mute the android box I get no sound, but if I mute the TV, I still get sound, but this time a single stream that's delayed slightly and also not very loud even on full volume in the android box. It's strange it plays sound when I mute the TV though!

Can anyone advise what is going on?

I bet you mean SPDIF to soundbar and HDMI to TV, right?
It's your box that sends sound to both. Contact the box manufacturer.

I haven't got SPDIF to soundbar. It's just a single HDMI from box to soundbar, and then a HDMI from soundbar to TV. That works fine with the WDTV so thought it would be fine with this.
