v15 video calibration settings
#1
Where would I find the video calibration settings file for Kodi to start with. I would like to make a script for replacing this configuration with the appropriate configuration for each display that I use (a plasma TV and a projector that each have different display parameters). I thought the simplest way to do this is load the correct configuration file when you start Kodi. Thanks for the help

As a newbie I may not fully understand how Kodi sets display parameters when it starts up. I use my HTPC to display on 2 different devices that do not have the same x-y dimensions. When I start Kodi and the video calibration settings are top left [0,0] and bottom right [0,0] and subtitles set at 1000 the display is properly centered and fills the plasma display I use but overscans on the projector I use. When I set the top left to [30, 139] bottom right to [28,164] and subtitles to 864 it properly displays Kodi on the display area of the projector. Is there a way I can start Kodi using different settings depending on which display I am using when I start Kodi? Theses settings are in Settings > System > Video output. Hopefully someone can Help. Thanks.

You can create two profiles, one for each display.

Thanks, I set up 2 profiles and the video calibration settings are correct as long as you set the lock video settings in each profile.

Good to hear. If you want you can map the "LoadProfile" function to a remote button to make switching between profiles even easier. I do this to switch between my DAC for 2-channel music and my AVR for mutichannel audio.
