Win Live TV stops
#1
Hi

I'm running Isengard 15.2 Git:20151019-02e7013 on a 32-bit windows 7 system, fully patched.

I've been trying to get LIve TV working, it starts fine but after a variable time but not more than about 5 minutes it stops with the screen showing a pause and Kodi Goes unresponsive.

I'm running MP 1.12.0 as a backend and have the latest version of the KodiMP add on installed. I've tried TSreader and FMPEG and both have the problem

The log is available on the following

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=A5...file%2clog

Any ideas?

Thanks

It sounds like mediaportal tv server service is shutting down. Does the same thing happen in mediaportal?

I doubt it is kodi. I would be thinking mp tv server has the fault. Look at mp logs or try their forums.

I can reproduce the problem on two different machines connected to the same MP server, neither has any problem watching TV on the MP front end of through the Emby web interface. There are no corresponding failures in the MP logs.

Has there been any luck in resolving this? I can confirm the same thing happening to me. Mediaportal works 100% without any freezing but Kodi freezes after a period of time.

@Probear: I've checked your log file and the PVR addon does exactly what it is supposed to do. Kodi is telling in a proper way to stop the live stream.
The first 4 lines of your log snippet below seem to indicate that something is telling your Kodi installation to stop everything. I've no clue where this is coming from, but certainly not from the MediaPortal pvr addon.

Hi

I've done some more testing

I'm now running Jarvis (stable) as a front end on a Windows 10 machine against a MP 1.12.0 on a Windows 7 machine on a wired 1Gb network

I'm still having the same problem. Live TV starts and then after a variable period stops.

I've spoken to MP support and they say that the connection is being closed by MP because Kodi has gone idle. The specific message is

[HeartBeatMonitor] [INFO ] - Controller: Heartbeat Monitor - kicking idle user XBMCpvrclient3

Logs for both Kodi and MP are in the following link

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=A5...lder%2clog

Thanks in advance
