I may be a little late in testing this software.

After finding an older version that works with Windows XP I tried to configure using posts on YouTube without any luck.

Is there anybody who uses Windows XP with XMBC ver. 12.3 that is able to get free channels?

If with "free" you mean "free to air", then the shipped PVR add-ons should still work as long as your PVR backend supports the same API level as the add-on. If you mean "I want to watch this pay TV channel without paying for it", then you're on your own - we don't give support for this shit.
