Is there a way to reload Kodi xml using python? Like passwords.xml or advancedsettings.xml?

Having to restart Kodi for them to be loaded is very odd, especially considering most will be modified outside of Kodi. Maybe I'm missing something?

Ok, I found a way to instantly make Kodi see network credentials. Using xbmcvfs.exists(smb://user:pass@server/) after adding them to passwords.xml seems to remove the need to restart Kodi.
