Hi

I've just bought a mixix neo u1 and have never got anything like this before. I was under the impression that I could watch live TV on it through the Internet instead of a tv aerial as I live in a dead zone and cannot get a signal.

I've followed a few user guides to try get the Kodi up and running but there always seems to be a bit that doesn't work. For example a file can't be found or a menu isn't there that should be. I have 15.2 installed but am not sure if I have everything I need to get up and running with live TV.

Also if I want to record tv onto a USB do I need any other hardware other than the USB?

Sorry for asking such basic questions but there is just information overload and the things I have tried haven't worked! Difficult to know what should be working.

Please read http://kodi.wiki/view/PVR and http://kodi.wiki/view/PVR_backend and then re-read them again to understand what "PVR" means here in the context of this subforum. Why I say this because iIf you get no terestrial, no cable, and no satellite dish signal then "PVR" in Kodi is not for you and you have posted in the wrong subforum.

You might want to checkout the video addon subforum instead, however first read http://kodi.wiki/view/Free_content and http://kodi.wiki/view/Banned_Add-ons and then http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=119117 But know, the video addons for Kodi does not record videos to your harddrive so don't ask for that either.

Kodi's http://kodi.wiki/view/PVR function can through a http://kodi.wiki/view/PVR_backend make it act as a DVR, but only using a tuner adapter for terestrial, cable, and satellite dish signal. Not through the internet alone, as Kodi is no a magical free TV service.
