MKV default track flag ignored by kodi?
#1
I have an MKV file with multiple subtitles, one of which I want to be enabled by default (without having to manually enable it).

I checked using a header editor and the default flag on the subtitle is set for the proper track.

VLC selects this track by default whereas Kodi does not.

Why does Kodi ignore the "default" header value in MKV files?

Well, I think the headers in the MKV file were trashed so I re-ripped and set the default sub track and voila! all is well.

issue resolved. pilot error.
