I'm having trouble setting up my USB gamepad. At first it wasn't recognized at all so, as was suggested elsewhere, I downloaded this joystick.xml.sample, renamed it to joystick.xml and saved it to keymaps folder.
Now the gamepad is recognized but it seems the D-pad is not configured properly. It cycles way too fast and up-down does instead left-right and viceversa.
The gamepad is a "generic" one, the D-pad is somewhat similar to the one in Sega Genesis (pic).

EDIT: I fixed the buttons being inverted on the D-pad but still need help adjusting the sensitivity.
