SMB cannot find shared folder
#1
Until recently, I had a shared folder over my network from my laptop which I had as a video source. I'm using Windows 10 and after a Windows update my raspberry pi was no longer able to play the videos from my laptop.

I tried removing the source and readding is it but when I go into the add video source option I can't get past users/

I have the folder shared with my Homegroup but I'm at a loss to what settings I'm assuming were changed by the update to my laptop. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I can do/what might have changed?

Obviously happy to answer any questions or move to a more appropriate thread as I couldn't find a logical place for this.

Thanks in advance

Hi Baxter300,
I had a similar problem with my samba shares from Windows 10.
For me these commands fixed it: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid2201046

You could try to open the console as Administrator in Windows and Enter the following two lines:

sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb10/nsi

sc.exe config mrxsmb20 start= disabled

and reboot...
for ne it solved the problem with Win10/smb/Kodi
