It should work, I can't see why it wouldn't, unless three are actively blocking an 'addons' domain.

Logs are going to help http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file

Three has content blocking:

Include a log for us to verify, but keep in mind if it's using a http://kodi.wiki/view/Official:Forum_rul...ed_add-ons we cannot help you.

Which add-ons are we talking about here?

Also as @Saner suggested, a debug log (wiki) should make things clearer.

A strange thing on my iphone is ,when i close kodi app and try to use my safari i get a message warning me that im trying to use my phone as a personal hotspot(teathering) and thats not in my price plan..i have to reset phone to back to usual network function..
Thanks for your time..

Looks like they're injecting web pages into the HTTP requests that Kodi makes, as a way to give you a "notice".

Code:
<h1>Are you using your phone as a Personal Hotspot?</h1>

                                                    <p>Reference SIM002.</p>

                                                    <p>Using your phone as a Personal Hotspot, also known as 'tethering' or using your phone as a modem, isn't allowed on your current price plan. You can visit your My3 account on your phone at <a href="http://mobile.three.co.uk/my3">mobile.three.co.uk/my3</a> to find out whether there is a Personal Hotspot Add-on that you can use with your plan, or whether you're eligible to upgrade yet.</p>

                                                    <p>In the meantime if you want to get your phone back to browsing the internet you'll need to turn it off, wait for 30 seconds and then turn it on again.</p>

                                                    <p>If you're looking for an easy way to connect a laptop or computer to the internet, take a look at our Mobile Broadband plans and devices. Just visit <a href="http://three.co.uk/mbb">three.co.uk/mbb</a> or go to your nearest 3Store to find out more.</p>
                                                </article>

They've incorrectly detected "teathering" even though you are only using your phone. I suggest you yell at them, especially about injecting HTML like that. ISPs like this are the worst.

He's on the wrong APN, IIRC. Three is like that because they charge 20 pounds for unlimited data, so they need to restrict it in some manner.
