I own the MINIX NEO X8-H Plus and running latest KODI and using video add-ons
I'm sending video to my tv via hdmi
I'm sending the audio to my receiver/amp via optical cable. The receiver is Dolby Pro Logic, Pro Logic II, and DTS capable. I've tried all of these settings on the receiver with no luck of correcting the issue.
On some movies, when the audio gets louder ( extremely augmented action scenes etc) , the audio distorts, clips out and pops and cracks...basically extreme digital distortion. Even when I turn the audio level down, the distortion is still there.
I've switched cables, I've switched an identical twin receiver. I've changed audio settings.
Still no luck.
My friend runs an audio output to his tv via hdmi and then audio from his tv through optical and has no issues with the identical movies I speak of.
I still can't put my finger on whether it's a setting, or hardware or coding of the video file/link causing the issue.
Any suggestions? Anyone else have this issue and has solved this problem?
