I'm new to the forum but a happy long-term user of XBMC, aka recently KODI. I'm running it now since several years on multiple Android sticks/systems, and only ran recently in a problem which is just annoying.
Since a few weeks, there is no movie poster/background loaded for any new movie added, but the old ones still display. Surprisingly, it still works perfectly fine for series. I googled the problem over the last week and found similar problems and solutions, but non worked so far - here's a list:

- Manually using the artwork downloader - no luck, the posters do not display even in the preview (but stickers, CD cover and others work)
- deleting Textures13.db and let it refresh - didn't help, I ended up having no posters in movies at all, incl. the ones that worked before
- I thought it could be the scrapper, so I the movie database - no success
- installed newest version, KODI 16 beta 4 - same problem
- uninstalled KODI and wiped data before reinstall and setting up database from scratch - didn't work either
